Description
This painting, so far, is the only one of my paintings that I did simply from imagination, which is one reason why it has a special place in my heart. The other reason it is so dear to me is because of the message it represented for me as I painted it. These early spring flowers, bursting to new life after a cold winter, were meant to inspire feelings of hope in the viewer for the glorious new life that is promised. It was for that reason that I also attempted to emphasize purity (white), royalty (purples), and gold (rich yellows).
"Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus has done for us, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory." Romans 5:1-2
